L'histoire : Two families both teenage children who are friends with each other. Lonnie and Rick fall strongly in love. Rick becomes aware that his father betrays his mother, so he begins to show his uneasiness at home and do odd things. After an unsuccessful getaway the two adolescents realize their love is impossible, therefore they decide to commit suicide.

Note : Waris Hussein on River auditoning for the role : "River was very much a part of the Hollywood auditioning scene at the time but he stood out from the others. I remember his parents took him to the audition and I think his father was instrumental in coaching him for the reading. This film was an important event for River, who had done a few TV parts before but this was his first really big role in terms of dramatic characterization."
